Re: LED Streetlamps

And aren't they meant to be more energy efficient? Yes, a lot more efficient. The units last a lot longer and are a fraction of the cost to run. Plus, they're very directional which means less light pollution. So does that mean that the street lights are going to be on all night? On the Bramfield R...

Re: LED Streetlamps

But at least they should be more reliable. If you walk up Bramfield Road past the cemetery and next to parkland, there are often street lights out and it makes it very dark and can be a little scary. I would rather have the cold light than no light. And aren't they meant to be more energy efficient?

Awesome. I am particularly interested in the climate control element as this morning the climate was arctic. I could see my breath...

I do admit I am slightly proud that we can currently boast the oldest electric vehicles in mainline Britain.

Re: Motorcycle parking at stations?

Hi Kateg28 and thanks for your reply. Both my wife and I will need to commute into London for work so we're just considering options for getting to and from the station. Ideally, we'd like to find a house within walking distance of Hertford North but I appreciate that these properties are in high d...

Re: Sele shops disabled bays

Is it just me or do other people get annoyed when they see able-bodied people parking in the disabled bays on Tudor Way? While I completely agree about the misuse of designated parking bays, bear in mind that not all disabilities are obvious to the casual observer. I understand that there are many ...

Re: Sele shops disabled bays

Absolutely agree, even at 6 in the morning there are people parking in these spaces when there are other spaces free. There is also another car-park just over the road ,but heaven forbid ,they will have to walk 100 yards . I have tried that several times and never found a space there in the times wh...

Re: Motorcycle parking at stations?

I don't think many people park motorbikes at Hertford Stations, the thinking being that you might as well travel down the line and pay less in fares. I cant recall seeing many and am not aware of any dedicated parking except for bicycles. If you are using an entire space then it should be the same p...

Re: GP Surgery in Hertford Recommendation?

I have been with Wallace House for nearly six years now since I moved to Hertford. Why do you think they are so bad?

I cannot comment as only used them twice in that time and once was excellent and once was ok.

Re: Tesco to stop 24 hour opening

I thought it would be one of the ones to go. I do use it at unsociable hours but have never used it between midnight at 6am so it will still suit me.

Re: Congratulations to Lussmans, won an award today!

This was the final so I have no idea who were in their category in total. I haven't been there for a couple of years but will now give them a try again as they must be doing something right. I do know for the Fish and Chip shop category (which several hundred of the 7,500 eligible shops apply for) i...
