Re: Climate Emergency Declared

Always difficult when you have so many levels of democracy that the same person can express a different view at different levels. Perhaps an answer would be to reduce the levels and remove CCs, replacing them with a 'joint service delivery (JSD)' organisation which supplies all Districts with a comm...

Re: Climate Emergency Declared

Don't see electric vehicles as solving congestion problems and they do bring their own pollution and resource issues https://bit.ly/2LQnEfu hence my suggestion to remove free parking. There must be investment in a public transport network that serves ALL not just the main hubs, which is where HCC po...

Climate Emergency Declared

So HCC has passed a resolution to declare a climate emergency https://bit.ly/2SD5TUZ and a Sustainable Hertfordshire Strategy will be presented to Cabinet before the end of the year. I wonder if they would be prepared to consider as para 1 - remove free parking at County Hall and encourage all staff...

Re: QEII Hospital Urgent Care Centre opening hours

It's actually a 10pm to 6am closure with a little bit of flexibility. The consultation is being carried out by the CCG and last Saturday there were representatives of the Lister present, so it appears communication within the Trust needs to be addressed.

Re: Bircherley Green

I find yesterday’s announcement of a withdrawal of the planning application by Wrenbridge a sad testament of profit being more important than community. Saying “The scheme we had designed, and hoped to be building by now, was created for a 2016 market and is no longer fit for purpose in 2019, in the...

Re: Vehicle crime

It seems the saga of car crime continues with Owl reporting "In-between 2320hrs 7/6/19 and 1000hrs 8//6/19 offender[s] have committed a theft from vehicles in North Road, Hertford. The offenders (s) have gained access to a black Mercedes and a white Audi which was parked in the communal area parking...

Re: Maidenhead Street

Taking account of the HUDS statement "As part of these works, new gates will be installed at either end of Maidenhead Street." I can't help but wonder where these gates are? Overall, I personally feel Bull Plain is much improved, though still a work in progress, but am confused as to where blue badg...
