Re: Driveway

I don't think you'll get very far with 'I will contact the council see what can be done.' Unless there are yellow lines there that are being ignored. Obstruction is a police matter. And good luck with getting that enforced - you only need to look at how pavement parking goes completely unchallenged....

Re: A414 West Of Hertford

Tell the County Council about it to try and get something done. Give them as much detail as possible at http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/tra ... vices/hfr/. It's probably best not to get out of the car with a camera and tape measure - leave that to them!

Re: Bengeo Local History Exhibition 16th and 17th August

Marilyn A fantastic show, as ever. Although the venue wasn't quite so historically significant it was nice to have a bit more room to move around in. Will any of your material be available on line? At, say http://www.hertfordwarehistory.org.uk/" target="_blank, http://www.hertford.net/history/histor...

What happened to Chris Spedding?

Anyone know why last night's show didn't happen?

Did his motorbike break down on the way to the Corn Exchange?

Re: Esso Garage

The Sainsburys story rings true. I believe Morrissons have pulled out of an application for a new store In Hemel Hempstead as they were weren't allowed to build petrol tanks by the river.

Re: Sustainable Transport and the East Herts draft District

'gridlock'? 'a traffic jam so bad that no movement is possible''? Really? I think we need some perspective here. It may not be as free-flowing as some would like but it does all move.
