Use or Lose the Footpaths in Blakemore Woods
I went for a run from Panshanger Car Park, around & through Blakemore Woods near the B1000 yesterday & was amazed how much the paths there have disappeared or been overgrown by weeds. The only reason I can think of is that dog walkers must be using the Panshanger Park instead of Blakemore for their ...

Re: Bridge House Car Park to Close
Is it really necessary for so many Hertford North patrons to drive to the station at all? When I commuted to London, I used to walk 20 minutes there & back daily - yes it's a pain when the weather is bad, but it's great exercise & only takes 20 mins!

Don't understand this post Steve - North Road Avenue is two streets away from Hertford North?

Re: Sele shops disabled bays
Totally agree Steven, however it's been going on so long, you & I are in the minority in worrying about where we park there I fear. Last night when I went to the chip shop I saw a mum & her daughter park on the pavement over the dropped kerb because they couldn't find a space. I think cameras are th...

Bramfield Road Pavement ReSurfacing
Does anyone know when the pavement next to the North Road cemetery is going to be repaired. The barriers went up months ago but as far as I know nothing has happened?

Re: Inconsiderate cycling on the footways.
Why would anyone try to cycle along Maidenhead Street & Bull Plain on Saturday - it's Market Day!! People are supposed to wander aimlessly at markets or am I missing the point?

Re: Panshanger Country Park
I went for a lovely run (in the rain) around the outside paths of the Park today & was shocked at how overgrown with stinging nettles they were. The worst part was the path that runs adjacent with the B1000 & goes around Evergreen Wood. Methinks the popularity of the paths leading out from the Thiev...

Re: Panshanger Great Oak trail opening event
Glad it wasn't just me Steve - I went over there last Sunday 2 hours after the event finished & was unable to find it too. It's supposed to start somewhere near the fly-fishing lake is that right?

Panshanger Park Graffiti
Congratulations to the intellectuals that have spray painted a slogan all over the new "duck & dragonfly hide" in Panshanger Park. When you were taking your "selfie" didn't you realise that it's wooden slats & it's impossible to read it! Looks like some moan about not enough jobs & housing - bit ric...

Re: Hertford Parkrun - Starts 11th Oct
Just got back from a lovely walk round Panshanger with Mrs Muddy. Parkrunners have no current fear of mud, but will collect plenty of dog sh*t on their travels. I don't own a dog, but I don't have a problem with dog walkers if their dogs sh*t in the woods. Letting them sh*t all over the paths is dis...
