I only booked on Saturday but got a table without problem although the place was busy - perhaps not surprising as it was so near Christmas. Food was excellent with a good choice of both roasts and alterna...

Re: iPad screen repair

I'm not sure if they do iPad repairs, but I used "Just Fix Macs" based in Hatfield to fix my iMac. They were were very good for that at a reasonable price.

Re: Whistling Duck

We went to the Whistling Duck on Saturday evening. As it was a lovely evening, it was great to sit on the terrace overlooking the river before dinner enjoying our drinks. On a summers evening, the setting here is very nice, quite apart from the fact that the food was excellent and service very good....

Re: Bye bye First Capital Connect

We'll good riddance to FCC - they made some amazing claims about high quality customer service in their bid document - obviously their senior management never use their trains! Let's hope this new company live up to their claims - some new clean trains would be good for starters. Be interesting to s...

Re: Quarter Day Closures

Shame about the Framers going as we have used them for many years with good service. But nothing on the door/window to indicate they have set up elsewhere. Luckily we have found a similar business in New Road in Stanborough.

Re: East Herts Electrical closing

And surprise, surprise, the shop is still empty! Another coffee shop or hairdressers I suppose although hope it doesn't go the way of the old McDonalds - still empty some 10 years later.

Re: Ilvino St Andrews St

We have been here a number of times following others recommendations (posts on the old Forum site) - good food at a very reasonable price & one of our regular haunts. Remember to book reasonably we'll in advance if you are looking for Friday or Saturday evening.

Re: Hertford Glass

Hertford Glass did a super job last year fitting our new French windows & would be happy to recommend them to others. Used them on recommendation of other colleagues.

Re: New Kitchen & installation

Thanks for the links. I assume you have used these companies and if so can you comment on their work?

New Kitchen & installation

We are looking at purchasing a new mid size kitchen and would prefer to have installation available from the people we buy from rather than having to arrange separately. Already looking at Wickes & Wren but are there any other recommendations in the Hertford area?
Thanks
