Re: Hertford Bypass
Actually I don't disagree with you, I think it would make sense to widen that small bit of road although whether it would help enough I am not sure. The single lane under the bridge is an anomaly. However, bear in mind that travelling West -> East the traffic is backed up through town *after* the p...

Re: Hertford Bypass
Interesting. Taking peak time traffic out of Hertford and quietening down the current dual carriageway would be a great improvement.
The impact on the surrounding countryside, on the other hand, will be a great loss. Though I suspect it may be one worth paying.

Re: The End of Pay & Display
Just hope there is a facility for those of us who prefer to pay with real money, I for one won't be entering card details and don't have a fancy phone! Looking at that photo it does seem to but pay in advance as it always has been you have to know how long you will be, so that's no improvement! Ind...

Which is entirely what commercial media has always been. They need to provide enough content to attract enough readers/listeners/viewers to allow them to sell advertising.Steve wrote:It's fast morphing from a local newspaper in to an advertising platform.

Re: The End of Pay & Display
...the loss of the current Smart Card facility... Other than the discount, the Smart Cards always mystified me. Why wouldn't you just pay by credit/debit card, with no pre-payment required. And I have to say that I find RingGo a particularly helpful way of doing parking. Once registered, it's so ea...

Hmm, around here I'd be more concerned about not being able to read house numbers/names than being attacked...Robbo wrote:I have to deliver to houses at night and it can be quite dangerous at night in the darkness with no street lamps. Also it is more likely that people will be attacked.

Re: John Cooper
Why, oh why, do people still persist in making big purchases without paying by credit card and getting protection? There's such a track record of companies like this failing, which is terribly sad, but even worse when people lose out. And all you need to do is make a partial £100 payment by credit c...

Re: Sele shops disabled bays
Is it just me or do other people get annoyed when they see able-bodied people parking in the disabled bays on Tudor Way? While I completely agree about the misuse of designated parking bays, bear in mind that not all disabilities are obvious to the casual observer. I understand that there are many ...
