I've just returned and the station has been cleaned of the litter but the pigeon droppings and feathers remain (similar to in the video) and will probably need to be jet washed and specialist cleaning. The platform areas earlier this morning were disgusting with literally bags of litter including take-away packaging, cigarette butts, papers, leaflets etc and I was quite shocked at how bad it could be on a Tuesday morning. This is not a difficult issue to resolve however it will need human intervention - something that seems to be lacking around the station.

Which re-enforces my argument. Abellio can't be bothered to employ cleaners and expect the station staff to do it. A bit like expecting office workers to clean their own offices. As I said earlier, this just demonstrates a lack of commitment to properly servicing stations. It's all about cutting costs and hoping the customer doesn't notice. One word = cynical.

Yes, I'm referring to the newsagent, confectioner etc. It wasn't their choice to close. This and the withdrawal of cleaners just smacks of a lack of commitment to properly servicing the station.
