Millenium Carnival Events
This year's carnival will be the biggest ever seen and will feature a multitude of events, including Five-A-Side football, Fun Fair, Pipe Band, Parachutists and Open Air Rock and Blues Concert.
As well as arena events, a duck race and majorettes display, there will be live music in Salisbury Square, street entertainers and a town crier to keep everything moving.
A 5-A-Side Football Tournament will take place from 10:00am on Hartham Common. This annual competition was first run in 1997 and is open to any club which is affiliated to their own branch of the FA. Four junior age groups take part, with events staggered throughout the day. Each age group section will run straight through down to the final itself. Many local teams will be entering, but others from further afield will also be taking part.
There will be a Duck Race in the Castle Grounds at midday, close to the St.Andrews Funday.

Prior to the drop, members of the Carnival Committee will be selling beer mats. Fill in your name and address and all the mats will be tossed into the main arena immediately before the drop. The first parachutists to land will pick up three mats, each of which wins a prize.
