This year's main beneficiaries will be The Lavender Trust (a local charity for women with breast cancer), CHIPS (Children's' Integrated Playschemes providing holidays for local children with learning difficulties) and St. John Ambulance.

The Carnival is organised by a committee of volunteers from Hertford Round Table, Rotary Club of Hertford, Hertford Lions Club, The Hertfordshire Mercury, St Andrews Church and the Hertford Chamber of Commerce, who give their time for free. It is a non- profit-making group who will soon be registered as a charity. All money raised, after payment for such items as marquees, bands etc. is distributed to charity.
