This is a general view of the town from the west. The relief road can be seen on the right of the picture, whilst Port Vale and Cowbridge take a straight line from the bottom of the picture to the town centre. Cowbridge is so called because it was the route taken by cattle from the fields into the town market, passing over the River Beane.
