  • Hertford Carnival and Festival Of Sport. Carnival procession through streets. Fun Fair. Punch and Judy, Jazz band and duck race in Castle Grounds. Open air pop concert featuring the Fazers, The Independents, Kindred, Wild Rain and Blues With A Feelin'.
  • Showstoppers from current West End and local shows, presented by Hertford Dramatic and Operatic Society at The Castle Hall, 7:30pm. Tickets from Castlle Travel on 01992 500020.
  • English Choral Gems. Some of the finest music from the English choral tradition, with Derek Harrison conducting and Sndrew Parnell on the organ. 7:30pm at All Saints Church. Tickets £7 (£5 concvessions) from 09120 422429 or 01992 422246 or on the door.

  • The Happy Holiday Show. The Castle Hall 2:30pm. A brand new children's show suitable for ages 3-11 with music, magic, competitions and participation. All tickets £3.50 from the Castle Hall box office on 01992 589026.


Regular Events and Festivals

Hertford Theatre Week

    Hertford Theatre Week takes place each year during April at The Castle Hall and features six performances. This year's competition was won by The Barn Theatre Group, with a performance of Out Of Order by Ray Cooney, directed by Eric Chorley.

Hertford Music Festival

    Hertford Music Festival starts on Sunday 26th April and this year features performances by Humphrey Lyttelton and Helen Shapiro. Other artists taking part in the festival include Chas & Dave and Pearls B4 Swine. Organ recitals, classical guitar, opera and musicals are also included in the five week festival.

Hertford Art Society Exhibition

    Hertford Art Society hold an annual exhibition at The Corn Exchange each year during May.

Hertford Carnival

    Takes place 1 July. More details above.

Woodmanstock

    Started in 1995, Woodmanstock takes place each year at The Woodman PH in Chapmore End.
