Rail

Hertford has two railway stations - Hertford East, which connects to Liverpool Street; and Hertford North, which connects to Kings Cross and Moorgate. Trains are operated by West Anglia Great Northern Railway (Customer Relations, 0345 818919)


Busses

There are four town services operated by Country Bus & Coach Company and Reg's Coaches.

The H4 service is often extended to the QE2 hospital at Welwyn Garden City via Birch Green.


Road

The main route East-West through the town is the A414, which links Hertfiord to Harlow, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, where you can join the A1M. The main routes North-South are the A602, which connects to Stevenage; and the A10, which links to London and Cambridge. The A119 runs from the town to Ware.
