Hertford
Hertford (pop 22,422) is a market town some thirty miles north of London. It is the County Town of Hertfordshire, although it is small compared to some other towns in the county. It is often criticised for being a poor example as a county town, having poor shopping facilities compared to neighbouring towns such as Harlow and Stevenage. This is partly due to the fact that Hertford's town centre is quite small and parking is difficult. However, there are three breweries, two railway stations and a multitude of eateries and pubs in the town. The University Of Hertfordshire also has a campus in the town where its' business school is based. The UoH was previously Hatfield Polytechnic, one of the highest rated in the country.
